Unlike adult fish, few fry will accept artificial, commercial food. And when they do manage to eat it, their growth and health often suffer.
Brine shrimp nauplii are an option. But they require considerable know-how and patience, plenty of space, and a fair amount of equipment. Not to mention that they are saltwater crustaceans that must first be rinsed in a special sieve.
For many years, experienced aquarists have known that brine shrimp can be advantageously replaced by micro worms. These worms are absolutely tiny and can be eaten by fry even earlier than brine shrimp nauplii, which are much larger.
