Ramshorn snail blue

The ramshorn snail is a magnificent aquatic snail of good size. We offer it with its bluish coat.

This snail has been a great classic in aquariums for decades, if not longer.
Adults can be quite a respectable size, sometimes reaching 2 to 3 cm in diameter.
It is a snail whose shell forms a flattened disc, hence its name, and which mainly lives during the day. One can therefore easily admire it strolling on plants, windows, and decor.
It is a plant-respecting snail, which generally does not attack them.
It primarily feeds on animal and plant waste, algae, and the bacterial biofilm that covers all submerged elements.
It takes him many months to reach his adult size, but he can reproduce as soon as he reaches about 5 mm.
This species is hermaphroditic, but needs to mate to reproduce. It then lays its eggs on a hard surface: a leaf, a glass, a stone.
The ramshorn snails have no particular requirements, which means their distribution is global. Resistant to winter, they can be introduced into outdoor ponds.
