Rotala indica
Rotala indica
(set of 4 rods)
This beautiful plant with red hues can reach 40 cm or even more.
"It is therefore perfect for occupying the bottom of an aquarium or for lining the sides."
It grows perfectly in simple sand, as the substrate is quite indifferent to it. It even continues to grow if you let it float!
You can propagate it endlessly by cuttings, each stem fragment planted in the sand producing a complete stem.
Another faster method is to lay a stem on the ground instead of planting it vertically. You will then see a new vertical stem and roots emerge at each node, like a string of stems!
The stems of the Rotala rising vertically towards the surface and rarely branching, this layering technique to which this plant responds particularly well allows you to obtain beautiful bunches of stems more quickly.
The brighter the light, the more intense the red color is. In the same aquarium, it can offer the entire palette of colors from green to copper red, depending on the exposure of each leaf. This creates beautiful effects of depth and relief.
"It can easily be planted outdoors, in a poubellarium or in a pond. It will survive the winter at the bottom, protected from frost, and will start growing again in the spring!"
Rotala indica is one of the easy and straightforward plants that brings joy to both beginners and more experienced aquarists.
Our plants are guaranteed bare root, without rock wool, or any artificial substrate, ready to adapt to their new environment.
