Collection: Give naturalness to my fish
Finally feed your fish like in nature, for their health, their pleasure... and yours!
In nature, fish are at the top of the aquatic food chain.
Depending on their size, they are either micro-predators (most aquarium fish) or predators. A fish generally only eats living organisms, whether they are insect larvae, insects that have fallen into the water, small aquatic crustaceans, or worms of all kinds.
Even the smallest fry will feed exclusively on microscopic and living prey.
The law of aquatic life in freshwater is simple: everyone eats anything that is alive and small enough to fit in their mouth! A big fish eats a small fish, which has eaten small aquatic invertebrates (or fallen into the water), which have eaten algae or protozoa, which themselves have eaten bacteria.
Only certain invertebrates, essentially, feed on dead matter, thus contributing to recycling it for the greater good of aquatic environments.
"It is therefore perfectly artificial to feed our fish with flakes or other industrial preparations."
These products are generally made from animal or fish meals that are not on the menu for our residents in the wild.
"Reconnecting our fish with their nature means offering them those famous live prey that are normally the basis of their diet."
"They will regain their hunting instinct, so fascinating to observe, but also great nutritional benefits. No artificial food will ever contain the thousands of biochemical constituents of a living organism. Most vitamins and fragile molecules are destroyed as soon as a living organism dies. Inevitably absent from industrial artificial foods, these complex and countless molecules are the basis of the fish's immunity, and thus its resistance to the multiple stresses of life in captivity."
Live and natural food is generally the key to the reproduction of our fish, from spawning to the harmonious growth of fry.
Another advantage of aquatic prey: they survive in the aquarium or pond as long as they have not been consumed. Therefore, they do not cause pollution by rotting like industrial food does. They can even multiply if the fish give them the time!
Often, a simple bucket, or even less, is enough to raise these miracle creatures, thus providing a constant supply of the best possible food for our aquarium fish, in a tub, or even in a pond.
We therefore offer you various critters to maximize the diet of your residents, in order to better meet their natural needs.
