Water milfoil
Water milfoil
(set of 3 started cuttings)
An aquatic plant comfortable everywhere, indoors as well as outdoors, and that loves to stick its nose out of the water!
The water milfoil is a great classic of our ponds, but also of wild water bodies where it is a key element in the oxygenation of the water.
Its robust stems emit long roots that create very realistic aquatic landscapes. These very long roots plunge into the substrate, even from the surface, more to anchor themselves than to feed. Indeed, the Water milfoil succeeds in the same way in floating mode and its growth will be the same.
Its finely cut leaves form a very pretty lace under the water. Generally green, its color can range up to a coppery red depending on the light intensity.
Then, as soon as its stems reach the surface, it blooms another type of leaves out of the water, a beautiful soft green. In ponds, it can thus form superb beds of vegetation, both below the surface and above water.
Its cutting is astonishingly easy: any stem fragment, even 2 cm long, simply thrown into water, will develop a new plant, whose stems can reach up to 2 meters if needed.
It is therefore the ideal plant for open tubs, ponds, and all natural trash bins or aquariums. It survives very well in winter outdoors.
This lot includes 3 young cuttings started, comprising submerged leaves, without any artificial substrate or rock wool.
They will freely adapt to the conditions you choose for them!
