A fast-growing, foolproof plant that spreads by runners and easily reaches the surface with its 30 to 50 cm adult height! 

Vallisneria has a well-known silhouette for everyone with its long ribbon-shaped leaves that emerge from the roots and rise to the surface. Planted in clumps, it always has a very beautiful effect.

The species gigantea is quite common in our waterways. But, as its name suggests, it can reach 3 meters in length, which exceeds our needs in aquariums or in poubellarium! Even our ponds are rarely large enough for it...
Aquazolla offers you here the species asiatica, whose size, from 30 to 50 cm, is ideal.
It is used less for its oxygenation role (where the Hornwort largely dethrones it) than for its decorative role, and especially for its purifying and pollutant-removing role.
Indeed, its very rapid growth consumes a significant amount of nutrients, including nitrates and phosphorus, which it thus removes from the environment.
Its non-spiral leaves do not tangle when handled or moved.

Extremely sturdy, and although the literature recommends it above 15°C, it can actually spend the winter outside as long as it does not freeze completely. It thrives equally well in an aquarium, pond, or poubellarium. A simple layer of sand is perfectly sufficient for it.

Its rapid reproduction occurs through stolons, similar to strawberries. Each new seedling is connected to the previous one by a more or less underground stem, and the plants thus appear "in clusters", which greatly facilitates the task when it comes to removing excess vegetation.

Here is a plant that is extremely rare to see die. It adapts to all conditions and, after a few weeks of acclimatization, it always grows, according to the light and resources of the environment it greatly purifies.
