What do our fish eat in the wild?

Especially daphnia, which are at the top of the freshwater plankton. These small crustaceans, also called "water fleas", are at the base of the diet of most fish in the wild.

Adult daphnia are a delight for medium-sized fish (between 3 and 10 cm), ranging from guppies to young goldfish. Bettas love to chase them, and they contain everything a fish needs to live and grow.

This makes daphnia the ideal natural food for the aquarium or pond.

Raising daphnia is less difficult than one might think, provided that you can dedicate a container of at least 10 liters (a simple bucket, for example).

But we often fumble, not knowing how to obtain a strain, feed them, handle them, sort them, harvest them.
