Unlike adult fish, few fry accept artificial, industrial food. And when they do manage to eat it, their growth and health often suffer as a result.
Brine shrimp nauplii are one solution. But they require considerable expertise and patience, as well as space and substantial equipment. Not to mention that they are salty crustaceans that must first be rinsed in a special sieve.
For many years, experienced aquarists have known that brine shrimp can advantageously be replaced by micro worms. These worms are absolutely tiny and can be swallowed by fry even earlier than brine shrimp nauplii, which are much larger.
For example, guppy and platy fry feed on them from birth, and cichlid fry after barely 3 days!
