A charming aquatic isopod, cleaner of ponds and rivers, eats all the waste and algae from pools, trash aquariums, and aquariums.

The water louse is one of the most charming inhabitants of our ponds and waterways.
Related to woodlice, it is an aquatic crustacean extremely useful to any biological cycle.
Incapable of consuming the slightest living tissue apart from algae, the water louse is an tireless grave digger. It eliminates all dead tissue, to such an extent that some aquarists use it to watch over their fish eggs; it will devour any dead egg before it rots and will clean the living eggs of any impurity!
Less than 1 mm at birth, its size will reach just over 1 cm by the end of its life for large males. Adults are therefore generally safe from the appetite of modest-sized fish.
Very useful in natural ponds and aquariums, it performs the function of the filter or enhances it.
Introduced into the filter of your pond, it will multiply and devour dead leaves and other plant or animal debris that will be trapped there.
The water louse is thus one of the most emblematic detritivores of natural water bodies, where it faces temperatures ranging from 0°C in winter to 30°C in some summers without flinching.
The more waste there is, the more the water louse will multiply!
Its size allowing you to observe it easily, you will witness its mating and feeding!
We provide you with a batch of 10 water lice that are not yet adults: their lifespan will thus be greater and they will be able to reproduce at your place.
